The school of Media and Communication studies organized an Educational visit to World Book Fair, 2020 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 10 January, 2020. The students were accompanied by the faculty members and staff of the department.
The fair was organized to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It consisted of books in different regional languages and served the interests of Men, Women and children. The fair also included the practice of Nakshatra, a term used for lunar mansion in Indian astrology. The students got the opportunity to purchase some books of their favourite genres and also to interact with the publishers and some other people who came to attend the fair. Separate author&rsquos corners were also organized to discuss about some of the important literary works in different languages.
The students as well as the staff members were grateful to be a part of one of the biggest events of the year. The SMCS department of the University has planned to hold more number of educational visits to impart practical training to the students along with classroom sessions.
