Invited Talk-Emerging issues in the Indian Financial System

The Galgotias Commerce Society in association with the School of Finance and Commerce organized a scholarly invited talk entitled ‘Emerging Issues in the Indian Financial System' on Monday, the 13th Oct 2014 at 1.30 pm in the university auditorium. The convenor Prof Akash Agarwal opened the event welcoming Dr. V.K Mehta (Indian Economic Services-Retd.), program head, participant faculty colleagues and student attendees.
Dr V.K Mehta set the invited talk in its right context stating that it was the country’s financial system that was a backbone of all comprehensive activities of reform. It was then followed by a brief introduction about the Indian Financial System, the evolution of the System and the present scenario, its future prospects. Dr V.K Mehta interacted brilliantly with the students about the subject in detail and sharing with the audience his experiences of being with the Planning Commission of India
In the end, Prof (Dr.) Y.P Singh concluded the event expressing his deepest thanks to the invitee and emphatically stated the paramount necessity of continuing seminars, panel discussions, guest talks etc in the future for better learning, thinking and contemplation of the students on relevant issues. Flower Bouquets were presented to the invitees. Prof Silky Jain extended a vote of thanks to all concerned for their significant efforts in the careful organization and arrangement of the event to ensure its smooth running and success.
