Avalanche 2.0 was held on 30 September at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (or Galgotias University Campus 1). It was organized by the Inventers, Innovators and Entrepreneurs (IEE) club of Galgotias Educational Institutions. Avalanche is an idea pooling event, which gives opportunity to the aspiring engineers, entrepreneurs and technicians etc, to show their inner talent. The participants have to present a tangible and innovative idea, which could be technical, non-technical or business related. The participants with the best ideas are helped by our institution to achieve their idea.
This was only the second edition of Avalanche and it was able to surpass the success of its predecessor. This edition of Avalanche was able to draw wider attention of the students with the help of tireless efforts of the organizing team, dazzling promotions and lucrative prizes. It was also backed by top notch industry sponsors like Halonix, I-nox (more sponsors). The event was also able to garner support from Google and (the website).
Students from more than 20 institutions took active participation at the event and gave some brilliant and ingenious ideas which helped the event to achieve its goal to explore the ever widening horizons and surmount greater heights. The contestants were very keen and determined to win which could be seen from the preparation and presentation of their fresh and novel ideas. The learned jury comprised of Mr. Nitin Mohan Arya, Mr. Vivek Kumar and (...). Handpicking the best choices was bound to be a tough task for them, as there was no dearth of ideas which were filled with innovation which could lead to endless future possibilities. But due to their experience and sound judgement they were able to pick the deserving winners. The winner was (...) of (institute). He presented (winning idea). (), (), () were first, second and third runners up respectively. The winners won prize money of Rs 10,000. The first, second and third runners up received a prize money of (), () and () respectively. In addition to the prize money all the winners also received Halonix bulbs (other prizes). (), who was the chief guest of the event, praised the event for having wider scope and giving opportunity to students to showcase their talent. He/she was very much impressed by the creditable ideas and the healthy competitive spirit of the participants; he/she also appreciated the efforts put by the organizers for successfully managing the event.
There is no doubt that the event was well planned and the organizers left no stone unturned, not even a minute detail was overlooked. The shear handwork done by all was clearly evident. Youth play a crucial role in the development of a country and their creative minds can bring out big change in the society. Events like Avalanche are a felicitous platform for youth to bring out such ideas. We hope Avalanche 3.0 turns out to be a bigger success with even bigger ideas.
