B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students visited to Dankaur village area and saw different types of seasonal agriculture crops. The main objective of this visit was to see seasonal Rabi crops which are growing in the Village area. The agriculture crops which are growing in the Dankaur village area are: Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), Oat (Avena sativa L.), and Brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) etc. Some students have seen Oat and Barley for the first time and we have briefly explained differences between oat and barley. During the visit Dr. Mahesh Singh, Assistant Professor observed that a few agriculture crops were infected by diseases. These diseases are: Loose smut of Braley, Fusarium wilt in Brinjal and Leaf blight of wheat. Dr. Singh explained about the disease symptoms, identification of diseases, control of disease using different types of insecticides.
