The National Symposium on Next Generation Science and Technology was organized by Division of Biochemistry, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Galgotias University. The theme of the two days event was &ldquoScience for the people and The people for science&rdquo. Around 140 students and faculty were participated in this symposium. The event started with Saraswathi Vandana, lamp lighting ceremony, welcome address followed by the guest lecture. The guest lecture was delivered by Mr. R P Mehrotra, ED &ndash Engineers India Ltd (Retd) on the topic &ldquoScience and Technology in the Present Era&rdquo. After guest lecture, poster competition was evaluated. Post lunch session was filled with oral presentations and quiz competition. Next day, a special lecture was delivered by Prof. A K Jain on the topic &ldquoNanotechnology for sustainable environment&rdquo and an industry oriented interactive session conducted. The session was lead by Mr. Vadivelan, Teva Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Rest of the oral presentation was continued. Cultural event - light music, classical dance and folklore dance was performed by the students. The winner for the oral presentations were &ndash Ms. Kashish Gupta (1st prize), Mr. Harshdeep Gautam (2nd prize), Mr. Ankit Maurya (3rd Prize) and Ms. Ankita Bharathi (3rd prize) poster presentation &ndash Mr. S K Srikanth (1st prize), Ms. Archana Bharathi (2nd prize), Mr. Lav Gupta (3rd prize). Students of B.Sc Agriculture won the first prize in quiz competition. Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Renu Luthra, distributed the prize for winners. The event came to an end with a valedictory speech by Dr. Mythily S. followed by National anthem.
