B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students visited to Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary (WLS), New Delhi on 17 October 2018. The WLS works under The Department of Forests and Wildlife, Government of National Capital Territory (NCT) Delhi and Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS). The main objective to visit is part of course curriculum and it helped students about the practical aspect of horticulture, forestry and introductory biology etc.
A group of BNHS scientists had briefly explained about the rules and regulation of protected areas, biodiversity conservation of flora and fauna, ecological importance of termites, role of trees in our daily life and identification of bird species etc. Students also saw butterfly garden and man-made rain forest ecosystem established by Forest Department. During the nature trail students discuss about the forestry and biology related issues with the Education Officer.
