School of Law, Sastra University, Tamil Nadu emerged as the winners of 1st Galgotias University National Moot Court Competition (GUNMCC) 2018 held at School of Law, Galgotias University, Uttar Pradesh from September 28-29, 2018. Symbiosis Law School Pune was the Runners-up. Both the final teams constantly performed and worked hard qualifying the Rounds beating prestigious law schools across the country. The Best Speaker Award was bagged by Symbiosis Law School, Noida and Best Memorial by School of Law, Sastra University, Tamil Nadu.
Participants from 24 universities and colleges from 12 states across the country argued their cases before legal luminaries at the competition organised by Centre for IPR Studies & Moot Court Society, School of Law Galgotias University.
The National Moot Court Competition on IPR was an endeavour to harness competence of law students, enhance their knowledge, expertise and skill sets for court litigation and in other spheres of legal profession. To check the environmental and economic costs involved in traditional moots, School of Law, Galgotias University kept the competition completely paperless and successfully organized The Paperless Moot.
The prize distribution and valedictory function was concluded in the presence of Hon&rsquoble Justice Mr. Rajiv Sahai Endlaw, Judge, High Court of Delhi, New Delhi, Mr. G.R. Raghavender, Joint Secretary, Department of Law, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, Mr. Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor, Galgotias University, Mr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, Galgotias University, Prof. (Dr.) Renu Luthra, Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University among others.
