On Aug 27, 2014 the Valedictory programme was held at School of Business, Galgotias University for those students who were placed for Toyota Dealership at New Delhi locations. For the Academic year 2013-2014, 7 students underwent rigorous Classroom training on Sales and service, grooming, personality development, communication skills, knowledge on automobile sector, car market, customer satisfaction etc. Also they were provided On the Job training at their respective dealership locations. All these seven students were successful in their endeavor and have brought laurels to our University and in order to felicitate the students a Valedictory programme was arranged.
The program advanced in the presence of honorable Vice Chancellor Dr B V Babu, Guest of Honor Mr Sandeep Bhagat (Deputy General Manager Toyota), Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean Dr Saroj Kumar Datta, Associate Dean Dr Sadananda Prusty, the guests from Uttam Toyota, Grace Toyota and Galaxy Toyota, faculty members and BBA final year aspiring students. The audience comprising of students and faculty were given a small introduction of the Toyota family and their culture, that has helped them being the global leader in car making industry.
Dr. Babu, called the placement a good sign for the students, emphasizing the importance of internship and industry work, in contrast to the theoretical knowledge, where he advised students to apply all that they learn from the university to the different, practical situations. He conveyed the message to prospective recruiters that there will be fulfillment of all the inputs that will be required by the industry. There was also an announcement that here will be introduction of courses in the university which will have special attention towards industry requirements, making our students better, brighter and all the more Industry ready.
Amidst the cheers of the audience Mr. Sandeep Bhagat Deputy General Manager Toyota addressed, all present. Acknowledging the universit's efforts for the whole process and the event, his message to students solely emphasized the career consciousness one has while in youth and that it is their promise to all the new members for a happy, progressive career ahead."Learn and then perform" was what he quoted to the students. The audience cheered to it when he invited all the students for an upcoming event "Etios Motor racing event", on the 28th and 29th of August at the Budhha International Circuit, to be hosted by Singer Shaan.
Taking the progressive note a little further Dr.Saroj Kumar Dutta, Dean SOB, being friendly with the students helped them determine the value of the Toyota family with the quality culture and leadership it possess. He further elaborated how he plans to infuse the students into the industry in the coming times.
By now the audience had assimilated a lot positive from the wise words from the leaders and it was now time to hear from the students placed about their experiences. In the words of Sandeep Singh, it was matter of prestige and high pleasure while Deepak Sharma expressed his thankfulness towards Toyota for the opportunity and the University for providing him this platform.
Proceeding further, they were handed over their offer letters and Certificates for Training by Mr Sandeep Tyagi and Vice Chancellor, Mr. B V Babu.
The programme closed with the vote of thanks.
