School of Media & Communication Studies
The primary goal of the School of Media and Communication Studies (SMCS) is to nurture media and communication professionals who can leave a lasting impression in the media industry.
The School's teaching and research spans across a wide range of communication subjects, from popular culture to political communication, journalism studies to digital media. It attracts bright and goal driven students – ensuring that they’ll study alongside equally high-achieving peers. Teaching, supervision and support are provided by top faculty and industry professionals with links to major media companies.
The School's exceptional facilities include a range of flexible teaching spaces, a purpose-built media lab, and radio and television studios.

GALGOTIA MEDIA STUDENTS ARE WORKING ON INTERNATIONAL FILM PROJECT
Two students of School of Media & Communication Studies have recently got the opportunity to work on an International Film Project. The name of the movie is 'ZIA', produced by Milkyway Entertainment. Main Cast includes Eric Roberts (Oscar winner), Kanika and Earl Reginhard. Director of the film is Earl Reginhard. Cinematographer of the film is Australian legend Mark Kenfield with whom students of BAJMC Ankit Mahana and Abhishek Tripathi (Vth Semester) are working as Cinematography Assistants.
GALGOTIAS MEDIA SCHOOL FACULTY & STUDENT ARE CREDITED WITH WRITING & EDITING SEVERAL BOOKS
Dr. Amitabh Srivastava, Dean, School of Media & Communication Studies recently published 2 books. Before this, Prof. Amitabh had edited the book: Ragging the Red Alert. Its preface was written by Prof. Yashpal, Eminent Academician and Scientist. Prof. Srivastava has also translated this book with the title: Ragging Ek Aatank.
Mr. Ashish Kumar, Ph.D scholar and a budding media professional also wrote a book on ‘Media Charitra’.
GALGOTIAS MEDIA STUDENT IS AN ASSTT. DIRECTOR IN A MANOJ BAJPAYEE FILM
Md. Faizal, student of School of Media & Communication Studies recently worked as Asst. Director in Manoj Bajpayee and Ranvir Shourie starrer movie ‘In the Shadows.’ The film was recently showcased in the Goa Film Festival and received critics’ appreciation.
