About Program: Nutrition & Dietetics is sub-discipline of Medical sciences that involves the study of promotion of health through healthy food, nutrition therapy, food management, effect of food on human health and overall wellbeing. Diet therapy and its application in patient related settings is a major focus of dietetics.
- M.Sc. Nutrition & Dietetics is 2- years long full- time postgraduate course divided over 4 semesters.
Bachelor degree in Biological, Biomedical, Life Science, Biochemistry, Clinical research, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Nursing and related discipline with 50 % marks
This is a career - oriented course and after completion of this students can work as nutritionists and dieticians in various hospitals and health sectors to improve people’s health and help them make better dietary choices. They also help patients find a balance between good eating habits and exercising and primarily focusses on the relationship between the body and food. After completion of course student may pursue Ph.D. or established their on start-ups.
