Dr Archana Rathore
Dr Archana Rathore is working as an associate professor in the department. She earned her doctoral degree in English Literature from Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra. She did her research on the "Parameters of Indianness: A Study of Poetry of Nissim Ezekiel".
Dr Rathore, as an educator, focuses upon the fostering of critical thinking, engaged learning, and self-critical citizenship in my students in classrooms. She thinks that critical thought is essential to all forms of academic growth, her courses stimulate intellectual inquiry that extends beyond the mere absorption of knowledge. Screening the classroom as an additional room of society, she tries to find & bridge the gap between course material and the world outside the classroom in order to encourage students to incorporate knowledge into their concept of citizenship. She carries out this by situating literature and ideas within historical contexts and drawing connections that allow students to cross-examine their own roles. Her emphasis is also to inculcate the sense of righteousness, professional ethics and moral values in her students, which will help them in becoming an ideal citizen with a sense of responsibilities towards their family, society and nation as a whole.
