Cook without Heat
School of Education organized a competition "Cook without heat" on 30th January, 2019. This activity was conducted in kitchen&ndashLab of SOH, B-206.Total ten teams of B.Ed. second semester students participated in the event. Emphasis was given on eating raw foods due to their many health benefits. Heating destroys many of the nutrients in vegetables. This learning is essential for them so that in future they can conduct such activities at their workplace with their students in schools. There was a surprisingly wide range of food items along with Mock-tails, Oreo Shakes, Pin wheel Sandwich, Shrikhand, Pudding, Oreo balls, Salads, Fruit pool were prepared. All dishes were made without using heat, microwave or even induction. Students were judged on the basis of Presentation, Nutritional value, Wastage, Creativity and Taste. Dean SOH Prof. Onkar Nath Mehra and faculties Mr. Vikas Singh and Ms. Monalisa graced the event as judge and gave many valuable tips to the students.
