Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering
The Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering Program is for three years; taught over a period of six semesters. In the first semester basic science theory as well as laboratory courses will be taught so that the students can apply basic theories of physics, chemistry and mathematics in Electronics and Communication Engineering core courses. In every semester there will be some core courses and related laboratories.
Some of the Core Modules of the program are Electronics and Devices, Electronic Components and Materials, Digital Electronics, Network Filters and Transmission Lines, Principles of Communication Engineering, Electronic Instruments and Measurements, Electronics Drives and Circuits, Design and Fabrication Techniques, Microprocessor, Consumer Electronics, Trouble Shooting and Maintenance of Equipments, Communication Systems, Medical Electronics, Microwave Engineering, Networking, Project Work etc.
10th with minimum 40% marks.
For Lateral Entry:
Passed 10+2 with any 3 of Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/Biology/Informatics Practices/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship.
10th + (2 years ITI) with 40% marks in appropriate Trade
For Migration from Other Universities/Institutes:
- Diploma in Engineering 1st year passed with minimum 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale
- 40% (minimum) marks at X level.
Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering students have wide opportunities in manufacturing industries and service organizations such as broadcasting, consulting, data communication, entertainment, research and development; and system support. The students can also work in modern multimedia service firms that are involved in real-time transfer of information through video conferencing and internet broadcasting.

They can work as Service Engineers, Software Analyst, Technical Director, Field Test Engineer, Senior Sales Manager, Network Planning Engineer, Customer Support Engineer, Electronics and Communications Consultant, Research & Development Software Engineers etc.
