B.Sc Healthcare & Clinical Research
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
About Program: B.Sc. in Clinical Research is a 3 year graduate course in clinical research. Clinical Research is the investigation aimed at determining the safety and efficacy of new medical products including drugs, vaccines, Medical devices, diagnostic agents, and treatment regimens intended for maintaining and regaining human health. These may be used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis, or for relieving symptoms of a disease.
Duration
- B.Sc. Healthcare and Clinical Research is 3-year long full- time undergraduate course divided over 6 semesters.

Eligibility
10+2 in PCB from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Career Prospects
Initially, students start off as a Clinical Research Coordinator/ Clinical Research Associate/ Pharma Co vigilance Associate (PVA)/ Research Associate (RA). After acquiring an experience of 2 years, they go on to the next level of becoming a Senior Clinical Research Associate /PVA/RA.
With an experience of three years, they proceed to the next level i.e. Project Manager/Team Leader/Quality Assurance (QA) Associate. The next stage is that of a Manager – Clinical operation /QA/PVA/RA which requires an experience of 5-7 years. Lastly, individuals end up acquiring the position of a Director or Vice-President with an experience of 7-10 years.

Eligibility
Bachelor degree in Biological, Biomedical, Life Science, Biochemistry, Clinical research, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Nursing and related discipline with 50% marks.

Career Prospects
with a master's degree in clinical research, students may work as a clinical research associate, clinical research coordinator or clinical research manager. Pharmaceutical companies, the National Institutes of Health, research hospitals and medical laboratories are just a few places that hire clinical researchers. Also, after completion of course student may pursue Ph.D. or established their on start-ups.

Eligibility Notes: A Master's degree from a recognized Indian University or any other equivalent degree to the satisfaction of the Academic Council of the University, in the relevant field, with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent.
