In Hotel Management department under – School of Hospitality of the University, the students are made to learn through experience, round the clock mix between the academics and the practical, a reflection of our belief that to become an effective manager in the hospitality business, one must learn how to run a complex enterprise from inside out. It’s all about studying the management techniques - …, YES, and also working in the institute’s Labs, kitchens, restaurants, front office, computer labs and model guest suite, so as to understand the operation and the supervision, first hand. The preliminary professional module, combined with on campus education in the given curriculum with on the job training in hotel ensures that the students can deal with the operational issues in real life setting and are now ready to embark on rigorous business school teaching.
At the completion of the studies students are educated, trained and motivated to do most of the tasks involved in keeping a hotel running smoothly. And most importantly the students are encouraged to think critically, analyze a business situation, evaluate alternatives, find solutions and implement decisions.
