Vice Chancellor. Prof. Renu Luthra called upon the students of journalism & mass communication to master the art of new media and digital technologies for ushering in a change in the life and society of the nation. She said this while inaugurating a two- day national conference on &ldquo Emerging Trends and Culture of New Media and Technologies&rdquo, organized by the School of Media and communication Studies in collaboration with the Eureka Publishers at Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida.
Conference started with lighting the lamp and national anthem. A panel discussion was held on the topic &ldquoMedia Revamps in Digital Age: Current and Future Scenarios&rdquo, which began with a question of superiority of digital media over traditional media. Source of information is the key to knowledge, techniques, process and experiences are a result of travelled journey by media. The relevance and credibility are the main cornerstones of the felicitated news or information since whoever controls the media, controls the mind. Traditional media is not a counterpart but the wheel of the same vehicle which helps traditional media and digital media both to work along in harmony.
