The school has planned to set up a centre for Inclusive Development, Public Policy and Governance. This centre is visualized to be the hub of research of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary nature. Efforts will be made to have tie up with important national and international academic organizations. We are also making efforts to have collaboration with foreign universities for faculty exchange and some degree programs as well. The school is reviewing pedagogy on a continuous basis to incorporate suitable modifications. Practical aspect is given due importance in each program .For example, Media and Journalism students are given training and internship in production houses, FM radio station and newspapers .Psychology students conduct laboratory experiments, field trips and internship . The faculty of Psychology department provides counseling and guidance for students in resolving their concerns relating to examination anxiety, stress and emotional problems. Students of Economics are involved in discussing policy issues, including Union Budget, etc. that gives them good orientation of application of theory to policy issues. All this enhances the employability of our students in their respective disciplines in academia, industry, NGO’s, etc. Dr. Prem Vashistha Dean School of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences |
