At Galgotias, we understand that International students come from varied backgrounds with a different set of needs and expectations. To help with their transition to the new culture in India and at the university, a special International Office has been established. This office acts as a liaison between international student community/professors and the different Schools and Departments at GU. It also serves as the nodal point for information and assistance to all International students and visitors. The International Office provides information, guidance and advice on all matters related to overseas student admissions and courses of study offered. The International Office also assists with formalities related to admissions, immigration etc.
Services Offered to International Students
The International Office assists with:
- Admission formalities and Registration for new students,
- Arranging for pick up of international students and visitors from the airport on arrival,
- Assisting with accommodation for international students
- Welcome and Orientation Programme for new students,
- Help with visa extensions and alien registration,
- Counselling services- for problems related to personal, professional or cultural issues.
- Facilitation of English as a Second Language (ESL) Programme for students from non-English speaking countries.
- Academic support apart from classroom instruction to international students in subjects they have difficulty with through the Enhanced Learning Centre (ELC)
- Providing international students a platform to display their talents and the culture of their country through the International Students Club
ENHANCED LEARNING CENTRE (ELC)
The Enhanced Learning Centre of Galgotias University ensures that every international student of GU gets additional academic support apart from classroom instruction in subjects they have difficulty with, thus maximizing the teaching learning process at GU.
Constant follow up and monitoring of the academic performance of the student is done to ensure that every international student uses this centre and is comfortable with the academic inputs and is able to perform well academically.
THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CLUB OF GALGOTIAS UNIVERSITY (GUISC)
Galgotias University encourages international students to freely express themselves and provides them a platform to come and work as a team. This platform- GUInternational Students Club provides students an opportunity to display their skills and talents and share their culture and contribute to the internationalization of the university. The activities of the GUISC enhance and promote international understanding and friendship among students as well as give them an insight into the different cultures of the world.

Apart from our continuing efforts to help and encourage students gain knowledge and achieve appreciation we have The Galgotias University Student Clubs to encourage students to participate in extra-curricular activities. With over 40+ different activity clubs, international students can find more than one to associate with and give life to their hidden talents. And if you do not find one that meets your passions you are welcome to create your own. and the Galgotias University team will be there to help and guide you!!
