In the present day scenario crime detection has become a scientific enterprise. The function of a forensic scientist in the criminal justice system is to perform a role that helps them to convert an investigation into a final adjudication. Hence, Galgotias University has taken up this initiative to start a three year Bachelors course in Forensic Science from the academic year 2012 onwards. This course is offered in the School of Basic and Applied Sciences of the University. The objective is to impart the students a strong theoretical, practical and experimental foundation and thereby gain specialized skills that would empower them in scientific crime investigation methods.

- Ph.D. in Forensic Science : Part time/Full time
The Departmental infrastructure is well furnished with all modern facilities. The Forensic Laboratory is well equipped with latest equipments. The classrooms of the department are well furnished with all modern facilities. The University has a Central Library which houses books of Forensic Science as well.
