Physics is an application based subject. A clear understanding cannot be achieved unless experimental exposure in well-equipped laboratories. At Galgotias, we understand this need. Physics as a subject is a research based subject and we provide comprehensive knowledge of the subject through our best faculty and their practical approach towards the subject. Understanding the basic concepts and applying them in day-to-day lives makes the subject more interesting and uncomplicated.

Department of Physics provides a variety of physics and engineering curricula for students interested in pursuing scientific and technical professions. Our undergraduate courses are targeted to equip students with skills in basic physics and give necessary experimental exposure to prepare them to pursue excellence in their respective technical fields.   Our team consists of 14 highly qualified faculty members and 2 technical assistants. Currently, we are offering basic courses to first year undergraduate students of various engineering disciples and forensic sciences. We are running a fully equipped undergraduate lab for first year students.  In future the department is planning to offer masters program in engineering Physics and PhD program to fulfill the aim of excellence in various areas of core and interdisciplinary research.
