The Department of Fashion And Textile offers an Under Graduate B.A. Degree programme of three years duration for students after 10+2 or equivalent from various domains specific to each discipline. The disciplines are Fashion Design, Textile Design and Fashion Merchandising.
The overall structure of the programme is a combination of theory, skills, design projects and field experiences supported by modern well equipped labs and experienced and highly qualified faculty members. The focus of this curriculum is on developing fundamental skills and understanding through life drawing, Colour, Basic Design, Methods and Materials, workshops and assignments. It combines a curriculum with other core subjects like, Pattern Making, Production Methods, Traditional and Conventional Textiles, Marketing and Merchandising, Fabric Studies etc.
The course has been particularly designed for the growth of students by making the process of learning through their own creativity and also by developing their knowledge and technical skills to succeed in nurturing their ultimate goal. Eventually it will be their contribution that will make the difference in the world of business.
Students will also acquire the basic skills of English language necessary to succeed in any discipline. A foreign language of their choice will be there to make a niche in the Global market also.
